Eligibility for Silver Sneakers

Those of us who have traditional Medicare will not have "Silver Sneakers" membership included in our health insurance. Those enrolled in Medicare Advantage programs very well might have.

Not true. I have traditional Medicare as well as AARP/United Healthcare Medigap and I get Silver Sneakers along with that.

It's not related to Medicare but to your supplemental coverage

Yes, you aren't entitled to Silver Sneakers by virtue of receiving Medicare, it's determined by your supplemental provider, United Healthcare, provides that. Not all supplemental programs cover gym memberships and Medicare itself does not. My husband and I are both on Medicare. I qualify (United Healthcare); he does not (another plan). Also, not all gyms participate.
